We hope you find something that interests you within our wide range of regular talks and group activities, as described further below.
If you are new to the Dorridge area, then joining Dorridge U3A would be a good way of making friends and finding out what goes on in the area.
Our U3A has been running since 1990 and is still growing. We now have approaching 550 members. New members are very welcome and have the opportunity to participate in the following interests.
General Meeting Talks
We have regular talks at our General Meetings – usually three per month. These cover a wide range of subjects and all take place in Dorridge Village Hall on a Wednesday or Thursday, at 2.0pm. To see the full programme of talks, click General Meetings.
We have 40 different interest and activity groups, some of which are so popular that they are split in order to accommodate the number of participating members. To see the activity list and the days they meet, click Activity Groups.
Short Mat Bowls Practical Art
In addition to all the activities mentioned above, coach trips are periodically organised to places of interest. Some of Activity Groups also arrange their own specialised visits.
Our annual subscription is £15 and includes refreshments at General Meetings. Additional payment is usually due when attending activity groups to pay for refreshments and room hire.
Who Can Join?
Anyone in their third age (after the second age of full-time employment).
