Virtual Art Exhibition
To give us a lift in these worrying times, our Practical Art group are showing a collection of more than 20 pieces of art, produced in varied mediums and arranged in the following two groups. Click one to view.
We hope you find something interesting within our wide range of regular talks and group activities. If you are new to the Dorridge area, then joining our U3A would be a good way to make friends and discover what goes on in the area.
We started in 1990 and now have 550 members. New members are very welcome and have the opportunity to participate in the interests described below.
General Meeting Talks
We have regular talks at our General Meetings, usually three per month and covering a wide range of subjects. They all take place in Dorridge Village Hall, Wednesday or Thursday, at 2.0pm. To see this year's programme of talks, click General Meetings.
This year's new meeting programme got off to a good start in January, with an excellent and very amusing afternoon listening to David Wood, talking about his 42 years as a master thatcher. Click here to read the full article.
We have nearly 40 different interest and activity groups, some of which are so popular that they are split into smaller groups in order to accommodate the number of members who are keen to participate. To see the activity list and the days they meet, click Activity Groups.
In addition to all the activities mentioned above, coach trips are periodically organised to places of interest. Some of Activity Groups also arrange their own specialized visits and outings.
Outing to Chester
Our annual subscription is £15 and includes refreshments at General Meetings. Additional payment is usually due when participating in activity groups - to cover refreshments and room hire.
